a year agoBeware. Esp. if you are coming from another state. I have friends who are realtors so never expected that when I moved from S. Florida to Blackshear that I would be conned. Jody worked with the sellers of the house I purchased to hide mold that existed in very high levels (count over 10K). As the realtor who was supposed to be representing me, she set the price too high, told me it would be a waste of money to get an appraisal and that I likely did not need an inspection. She was "much too busy" to attend the inspection or to be present at the closing. While I did obtain an inspection & he pointed out everything except damage to all bottom kitchen and master bath cabinets, I feel that the inspector was set up as well. I was in a rush to return to South Florida as my 53 year old brother was in critical care. I was an easy target. While sharing my story, I have learned of others who had grievances with Jody but they are minor in comparison. Attorneys shared that even with Georgia no fault laws I had a viable case due to the mold, however I did not want to go into Doctor care and instead chose a more holistic approach. I have lung issues caused by mold - something I shared with Jody when we were looking at another house. My advice? Be cautious over all when buying in GA and definitely do not work with Jody Dupont or Compass 360.

6 years agoThis was the worst experience I've ever had with a realtor. I understand it's Sunday & not many people like to work but for $250k I'd think it would motivate a person to do their job. I met with Tanya to do a walk through of a property in Jesup, she was 20 minutes late after having set a 4pm meeting time at 2:20pm, that was the first indication she wasn't serious. As we did the walk through she couldn't answer a single question I had about the property. She told me I would need to make an offer on the property & put a deposit down with her before an inspection and appraisal could take place. Now I arrived in my sneakers, jeans & t shirt, drove my daughters car & have tattoos covering my arms. My brother/business partner was also there with tattoos as well & casually dressed. She seemed to assume we were wasting her time and failed to treat us as potential buyers. What she failed to realize is that we are both in our 40s, successful business owners, retired military, looking for a location in SE GA to relocate our already established business. Had she asked more than "is this cash or do you have to get a loan" I would of dropped the newbie act & had my attorney contact her to proceed with the sale. Instead I drove away discouraged about relocating my business to the area.

9 years agoHands down only one word can possibly explain this realtor.. Awesome beyond words can explain. He works extremely hard to find what your looking for and he is a world of knowledge. Friendly, respectful, goes above and beyond. Most of all he cares. He makes you feel important and he is very fun to be with on the house hunt. When looking for a realtor I can't say enough. Thanks to Johnathan and his team for all they helped me through. It's been a great experience. Brian Sheppard
